XING SE is now called "New Work SE

XING SE, operator of the largest professional network in the German-speaking world, plans to change its company name to "New Work SE". The new name will serve as a bracket for all company activities and underline the company's vision "For a Better Working Life". The individual product brands such as XING, kununu or Prescreen will continue to exist.

XING SE, operator of the well-known professional network in German-speaking countries, is planning to change its company name to "New Work SE". The Executive Board and Supervisory Board already decided on this step last year, and the Annual General Meeting still has to approve the project at the beginning of June. The background to the planned change of name is the fact that the company has been committed to the vision of a better, more humane working world for years.

To this end, XING SE organizes, for example, the leading event on the topic of the future of work, the New Work Experience (NWX) in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and offers its own customers services and products so that they can work in a way that suits their individual lifestyles. The well-known product brands XING, kununu, InterNations and Prescreen will continue to exist after the change of name, so that nothing will change for members and users.

XING brand to be retained as a product brand
An important next step for the planned change of name is the approval of the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 6 June this year. Subsequently, the change of name will become effective upon entry in the commercial register. New Work SE will act as the company name and form a content-related and overarching bracket across all of the company's activities. The well-known XING brand will remain the Company's central product brand. The same applies to the kununu, Prescreen, and InterNations brands.

CEO Vollmoeller: "New Work" as a bracket for all company activities
Thomas Vollmoeller, CEO of XING SE: "In recent years, we have successfully positioned ourselves in line with our vision 'for a better working life'. We help our members to benefit from the radical changes in the world of work. We support them in working in a way that suits their lifestyles and individual aspirations. In addition, we offer a platform for the important discussion on the topic of the 'Future of Work' with our 'New Work Experience' event, among other things. New Work is thus, as it were, the leitmotif for everything we do as a company. By changing our name, we are making New Work a highly visible bracket around all our activities."

New Work product offerings for a better working life
XING's wide range of products and those of its subsidiaries are already paying tribute to New Work: kununu, for example, allows employees to rate their employers, thereby creating greater transparency in the job market. In the XING Jobs section, members search for jobs with "New Work criteria" such as flexible working hours, home office or the option to bring their dog into the office. With the help of salary transparency in the XING Jobs market, interested parties can find out what salary they can expect for the advertised positions. This enables applicants and employees to negotiate with employers on an equal footing.

For corporate customers, XING offers a range of New Work tools in the form of e-Recruiting solutions, which help HR managers to find and actively approach the best talents in a targeted manner in times of digitalization and a shortage of skilled workers - which in turn benefits XING members. In addition, modern employer branding offers employers the opportunity to present themselves and attract the attention of talented individuals.

XING is not only contributing to its vision of "For a Better Working Life" with products, but also sees its task as actively driving forward the discourse on the future of work. To this end, the Company launched the New Work Award in 2013. The prize is awarded annually to forward-looking concepts for New Work. This year, for the first time, more than 200 companies, teams and "new workers" participated with projects. In addition, the company organizes the New Work Experience, the largest event on the topic of the "future of work" in the German-speaking world.

On March 7, 2019, the already sold-out event with 1,800 guests will take place for the third time at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. XING also addressed the question of how we will work in the future on the occasion of its 15th birthday at the end of 2018 in cooperation with the renowned futurologist Professor Peter Wippermann. The "New Work Trendbook" focuses on 15 trends that will have a decisive impact on working life in the coming years.
