VIGISWISS: First certified network
For the first time, Swiss data centres are joining forces in a network to jointly build the universal data vault VIGISWISS.
Just recently, at the WEF - World Economic Forum in Davos, the fourth industrial revolution, the digitalization of the global economy and the issues related to cybersecurity were discussed; nevertheless, some key questions remain unanswered: Where will this mass of data ultimately be stored?
Is there a safe place in the world that guarantees this data will be preserved forever? Archives, medical data, manufacturing secrets, government information, reports from international organizations and many other sensitive data are too exposed today. That's why Swiss data centers are forming a network with VIGISWISS to offer the world a permanent and secure digital vault.
VIGISWISS®
The VIGISWISS® (Swiss Data Center Association) is the first certified network of companies involved in data storage and protection in Switzerland.
The association was founded with the aim of preserving the universal digital memory. Switzerland's high-tech companies, research laboratories and internationally recognised universities are above-average innovators and help to anticipate threats to information technologies.
Switzerland is an ideal and strategic location for data: As a politically neutral, stable and pragmatic democracy with a culture of trust, it is located on Europe's ultra-fast data highways. The country's laws ensure a high level of protection for personal data, including corporate data, and set high standards for the highly confidential processing of particularly sensitive (e.g. medical) data.
The outstanding performance of VIGISWISS members and partners - data centers, hosting providers, integrators and providers of related services - will from now on be guaranteed by a seal of quality. By joining the VIGISWISS charter, certified members undertake to guarantee a high level of security, not to host illegal data (terrorism, child pornography, etc.) and to be regularly audited by an independent body.
