SSI Schäfer relies on robotics specialist RO-BER
The strategic partnership with the gantry robot manufacturer RO-BER strengthens SSI Schaefer's competencies in an important future technology. This results in promising integration and development potential for highly innovative automation solutions.
The SSI Schaefer Group is underlining its ambitions in the field of robotics and consistently pursuing its strategy in the context of Industry 4.0. As announced by the intralogistics market leader, a majority shareholding in the Kamen-based gantry robot specialist RO-BER Industrieroboter GmbH has been completed.

"With the participation in RO-BER, we strengthen the solution offering for our customers in another key technology of the future and complete the product portfolio in the field of robotics with intelligent control technology."

Both partners want to use the synergies from the complementary technology portfolios specifically for the customer-oriented realization of holistic intralogistics concepts. With their kinematic characteristics, gantry robots allow specific and completely new solution concepts with regard to sorting, buffering and interlinking functions.
