Current standards, including the safety standards EN ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061 and EN 60204-1, are explained in the safety manual in a comprehensible manner and numerous circuit examples with the corresponding safety-related parameters contribute to the illustration. Using the DA1 frequency inverter as an example, the implementation of applications in Category 3, Performance Level d, Sil 2 is shown. Furthermore, many new products have been included in the circuit examples, such as the new DIL MS safety contactors.

"Humans must not be endangered by the machine at any time," explains Manuel Keller, Segment Marketing Specialist MOEM for Eaton Switzerland. "That's why we develop solutions that allow systems and machines to be shut down safely in an emergency. The correct handling of the components is of course the basis for the overall safe handling of the machines. That's why we constantly update our safety manual, which is a competent companion in theory and in practice."
