ISO/IEC 27000 - Information security revised
Information processed and held by an organization is subject to such risks as natural disasters, cyber attacks, or other errors and vulnerabilities that may occur. Information security is therefore at the heart of the company's activities.
Information, which is a valuable asset, requires not only increased attention, but also appropriate protection that takes into account, for example, property damage, confidentiality clauses or corporate integrity. That is why ISO/IEC 27000:2016 (Information technology; security technology) has been revised. This information security management system gives an optimized overview - including corresponding vocabulary - which is accompanied by the ISMS family of standards. "Each common language is subject to a general terminology series. This is ensured by ISO/IEC 27000," says Prof. Edward Humphreys, responsible for the ISO/IECJTC 1/SC27/WG 1 working group.
