Giselle Lim new Chief Risk Officer of Generali
Giselle Lim will take over as Head of Risk Management and become a member of the Executive Board of Generali Group Switzerland on 1 October 2017.
Giselle Lim was previously Executive Director, Financial Services Advisory at EY Zurich. Prior to that, she held various management positions at international level at Prudential Financial, SCOR Life and Gothaer. Giselle Lim is a certified actuary with the Swiss Actuarial Association (SAV) and the German Actuarial Association (DAV). She brings many years of experience in the field of risk monitoring.
Strategic realignment
As part of the strategic realignment of Generali Switzerland, the corporate governance structure is also being simplified. New organisational structures and functionalities will be defined and a better structure of the internal control system will be implemented. The new Chief Risk Officer will oversee this process and ensure regulatory requirements are met efficiently at all levels.
Giselle Lim has been working at management level in the financial services industry in an international environment for around 20 years. She was previously Executive Director, Financial Services Advisory at EY Zurich. Prior to that, she was Chief Risk Officer, International Insurance at Prudential Financial in Newark (New Jersey, USA), Senior Manager, Advisory Financial Services at KPMG in Hannover and New York, Head of New Markets and Services at SCOR Life in Hannover and Manager at Gothaer in Göttingen.
Giselle Lim holds a PhD in mathematics from the Australian National University in Canberra. She is a certified actuary with the Swiss Actuarial Association (SAV) and the German Actuarial Association (DAV). She will take up her position at Generali Group Switzerland on 1 October 2017, taking over the Risk Management department from Roger Kaufmann, who will lead it ad interim until then.
