First Swiss PV label
A system that carries the Swiss PV label is a testament to its high level of benefit. The Swiss PV label, a new certification, helps to enforce binding quality standards for solar installations, for example, in the still relatively young and dynamic market.
The basis for the Swiss PV label is the European standard for grid-connected photovoltaic systems, IEC 62446. In addition, country-specific requirements, such as the low-voltage installation standard NIN 2015, EMC (standards for electromagnetic compatibility) or the regulations regarding wind, snow load, hail, lightning and fire protection are taken into account for certification. The latter are extremely important for the service life of PV installations in Switzerland. With a solar installation that carries the Swiss PV label, such problems can be avoided. The certification is also intended to help enforce binding quality standards in the still relatively young and dynamic solar market - comparable to the standards that already exist in the field of geothermal probes and heat pumps.
