25 years EFQM partnership, 10 years Health Excellence Network Switzerland

In 1994 SAQ signed the EFQM partnership agreement and looks back on 25 successful years as a national partner. Hundreds of companies have received awards and written success stories. Reason enough to let those interested in Excellence and those who use it benefit from this experience with numerous activities.

25 years EFQM partnership, 10 years Health Excellence Network Switzerland

Excellence guide for the healthcare sector
The Health Excellence Network Switzerland was founded on 22 June 2009 at the Hirslanden Klinik St. Anna in Lucerne. With three annual meetings, the network has developed into a successful platform around the model. Industry representatives benefit from an exchange of experience on the challenges of corporate development as well as on the application of the Excellence approach. But how can the Excellence approach be implemented in the hospital and linked to industry issues? What do society-related results mean in the healthcare sector? How can the stakeholder model of patients, referring physicians, relatives, employees, but also authorities and legislators be successfully implemented? A guide developed in the network provides examples and suggestions on how the contents and criteria of the model can be transferred to the sector. The guide will be presented to the sector at an anniversary event on 25 June 2019 from 4.30 p.m. in the uniTurm restaurant.

The Excellence approach makes itself fit for the future
A revised version of the EFQM Excellence Model was last presented on 1 January 2013. In April 2019, selected EFQM partners had their first look at the 2020 model and agree - the model will offer increased opportunities to engage employees and takes into account the challenges and trends facing organisations today. What's next? The model is currently being "tested" by selected companies, the final English-language version will be available in the 3rd quarter and will then be translated by the German-speaking EFQM partners. The model will be presented to the "Excellence Community" for the first time on 23 October 2019 at the EFQM Forum in Helsinki. For companies that have started the application process for EFQM recognition, there is a transition period until 31 December 2020.

Presentation EFQM Excellence Model 2020 on 7 November 2019 in Zurich
Under the motto "Excellence - History or Future?", the SAQ Swiss Association for Quality will present the German-language version for the first time on 7 November 2019 from 2.30 p.m. together with numerous excellent companies and pioneers in the application of the model. We are pleased that Ernst Stocker, member of the government of the Canton of Zurich, will give a welcome address and Russell Longmuir, Chief Executive Officer of the EFQM, will present the 2020 model in a dignified setting and demonstrate the importance of future-oriented corporate development in a practical manner.
