SwissID and Skribble cooperate in the field of digital signatures

The e-signature provider Skribble now enables simple and secure login with SwissID. This means that users with a verified SwissID identity can sign their documents around the clock in a paperless and legally valid manner.

As of now, the e-signature provider offers Skribble also offers login with SwissID. Anyone who already has a verified identity with SwissID can thus digitally sign contracts around the clock at the "advanced" level. The "advanced electronic signature" (FES) is a legally defined e-signature standard for contracts for which the law does not prescribe a special form: for example, rental, purchase or most employment contracts.

Verified SwissID identity

A verified SwissID identity can be obtained easily and free of charge via SwissID App can be created. Users scan their valid ID document with their mobile phone and record a short video of their face. The identity is checked in real time and added to the personal SwissID account.

According to Markus Naef, CEO of SwissSign Group, over 1.7 million SwissID users are currently affiliated with the organization. Philipp Dick, CEO of Skribble, points out that the digital signature offers companies great potential for efficiency gains and cost savings - it is the missing piece of the puzzle for end-to-end digital business processes.

According to information, the two companies also intend to cooperate on digital signatures, which require even higher requirements for verified identity. The so-called "qualified electronic signature" (QES) is legally equivalent to the handwritten signature. Swiss law requires a one-off identity check in advance by means of a personal visit.
