EuroBLECH 2016: Investment in new technologies
This year's 24th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, which will take place in Hannover from 25 - 29 October 2016, is all about innovative production in the age of advancing digitalisation. To increase cost efficiency, flexibility and process stability, EuroBLECH 2016 will feature numerous new solutions along the entire sheet metal working technology chain.
"The next generation of sheet metal working" is the motto of EuroBLECH 2016.
EuroBLECH 2016 will take place from 25 to 29 October 2016 at the Hannover Exhibition Centre. The trade fair will once again be the place to go for sheet metal working specialists from all over the world who are looking for new machines and innovative solutions and want to gain an overview of current industry trends. Visitors to EuroBLECH 2016 will find a comprehensive range of products, from conventional systems to high-tech solutions. With its motto this year, "The Next Generation of Sheet Metal Working", the trade fair is picking up on the current trend towards the networked factory in the field of sheet metal working.
Industry 4.0 quo vadis?
The current EuroBLECH White Paper, which was prepared by the authors Dipl.-Ing. Nikolaus Fecht and Dr. Andreas Thoss on behalf of EuroBLECH, uses selected examples to describe the state of digitalization in the sheet metal working industry: "In theory, Industry 4.0 describes the complete integration of production and communication technology.
People, machines and processes are being linked as closely as possible through Internet technologies in order to further increase cost efficiency, flexibility and process stability. What does this look like in practice in sheet metal processing? Industry 4.0 is more than just hype and many ideas from it have already been implemented. Medium-sized companies in particular have already digitized many processes [...]."
