Specialists from the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology industries meet at ILMAC in Basel
Basel is one of the most important life science regions in Europe. Almost two thirds of all employees in the Swiss pharmaceutical industry work in the life science cluster. Ideal conditions for ILMAC, the Swiss Exhibition for Process and Laboratory Technology, which will be held for the 20th time at Messe Basel from Tuesday, 20 to Friday, 23 September 2016.
ILMAC sees itself as a networking platform and, with around 430 exhibitors, offers a representative overview of the industry. The topic of "Industrie4.0" will be addressed in the ILMAC Forum using concrete examples. Other highlights will ensure an informative, inspiring and rewarding visitor experience.
Since its foundation in 1959, ILMAC has developed into the leading Swiss subcontracting exhibition for pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology, food, beverages and cosmetics. The series of lectures at the ILMAC Forum, in particular the Lunch&Learn events over lunchtime, reflect the current industry theme of "Industrie4.0". Visitors benefit from the practical experience and valuable knowledge of successful entrepreneurs and experts from research, development and education.
Live demonstrations
In LabTec4.0, visitors experience the latest products in practical use under expert guidance. The important subject of cleanrooms will be presented at the Cleanroom Control communal zone. And because chemical processes also play a role in the kitchen, the Swiss Armed Forces Culinary Team's Command Chef Course will be on show at ILMAC.

To enable busy professionals as well as expats who are not yet familiar with ILMAC to visit the show, ILMAC will be open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 September 2016, with additional attractions.

ILMAC 2016 will be held under the umbrella of Basel Life Science Week. ILMAC admission is also valid for the Basel Life Science Week international congress and MipTec at the Congress Center Basel.
