Change at the top of Green
There will be a change at the top of the company at the Aargau-based data centre provider Green. The current CEO Frank Boller will step down at the end of 2019 and hand over operational management on 1 July 2019.
Roger Süess has around twenty years of banking IT experience in senior positions at UBS and before that at Credit Suisse in the areas of cloud, IT infrastructure, IT architecture and IT innovation. He has also worked in industry and as a consultant. The 45-year-old holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and information technologies from the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil (HSR). Roger Süess lives in the canton of Aargau and can draw on an extensive international network. "The appointment of Roger Süess as CEO ensures stability and continuity in both business units. He brings with him both the necessary management experience and the professional qualifications to further develop our business," explains Franz Grüter, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group.
Frank Boller is leaving Green at the end of the year in order to gain time for new Board of Directors mandates and thus to be more strategically active. Under his leadership, the Group was able to greatly expand its data center business, among other things. The acquisition of a financial data center in Schlieren and a new building in Lupfig increased the amount of space available by over forty percent. "I would like to thank Frank Boller for his valuable commitment at the helm of the company, which has enabled us to achieve growth in both business areas," added Chairman of the Board Franz Grüter. "We will consistently pursue the path we have chosen - on the one hand, with the aim of continuing to grow with data center services for companies and cloud providers, and on the other hand, to expand our business as a provider and ICT service provider for households and SMEs."
Since February 2018, Green has owned the InfraVia European Fund III. "We would like to thank Frank Boller for his commitment, which, among other things, has made the successful expansion of the data center business possible," says Bruno Candès, Partner at InfraVia. "At the same time, we are very pleased to welcome Roger Süess as our new CEO. We are convinced that under his leadership, Green will also master the next phase of the growth plan in the best possible way - with the goal of further developing the company into the leading Swiss data center provider."
In the period from 1 July to the end of 2019, Frank Boller will accompany the handover to his successor and be available in an advisory capacity.
