vonRoll hydro and DUKTUS go together
vonRoll hydro and Duktus have for many years been cultivating the systems business with quality components for water and sewage infrastructures. The merger of the numbers 2 and 3 of the European producers of ductile cast iron pipes under the umbrella of vonRoll hydro ag will strengthen this orientation in the long term.
The new group of companies is budgeting sales of around CHF 220 (EUR 200) million for 2016 with around 700 employees - including 40 trainees - and a further increase in profitability.
The focus of business development is on the worldwide expansion of the systems business with innovative, high-quality products and services for water and gas supply infrastructures and wastewater disposal. In this context, vonRoll-DUKTUS benefits from largely complementary product ranges and sales organizations.
In recent years, both groups of companies have expanded their engineering capacities and competencies and pursued a consistent quality policy.
The Group's current production sites (Wetzlar, Choindez-Jura, Prenzlau, Oensingen and Nuelles) will be continued and developed in line with their specific strengths. The strong DUKTUS brand will be retained. The Duktus Group with its head office and production site in Wetzlar has its origins in the Buderus Group, from which it was spun off in 2005.
vonRoll hydro ag comprises the water business of the vonRoll infratec Group, which is also active in the other business areas:
- Industrial casting (complex, thin-walled and core-intensive parts in
iron alloys),
- IT services (operation of computer centres, Microsoft Dynamics
Outsourcing and SAP consulting)
- and e-mobility (trikes [vR3], scooters [vRone], off-roaders
[vRcross] and charging station ELECTRANT)
