The relevance of sustainability in the healthcare sector is becoming increasingly important as environmental and social challenges intensify. Healthcare facilities are therefore required to continuously improve not only their quality, but also their environmental and social responsibility (WHO, 2021). This article examines how the integration of specific norms and standards of sustainability in healthcare can create added value for quality assurance.
