ICTswitzerland Vice-President and National Councillor Franz Grüter wants to promote the concerns and know-how of the digital economy in the debate on employer policy. Digitalisation is changing the way we work and shape our everyday lives. In the course of this, the demands of employees and employers are also changing.

Jobs are changing more quickly, flexibility is demanded, completely new business models are emerging and with them new forms of self-employment and employment. The resulting demands on labour and social security law must be taken into account.

ICTswitzerland founded in 1980

ICTswitzerland was founded in 1980. The umbrella organization comprises 28 large and medium-sized companies and 21 associations. For ICTswitzerland Vice-President and National Councillor Franz Grüter, it is high time that ICT entrepreneurs became involved in the dialogue: "The ICT industry is the origin and driver of the digitalization of the economy and society. The demands for new working models, the fast pace of life and the call for flexibility are nothing new for us. It is therefore only logical that we need to get more involved - in the interests of our industry, but also to assume our responsibility in Switzerland's labor law debate."

With a gross value added of CHF 28 billion (2014), the ICT core industry is the sixth largest economic sector in Switzerland. As an umbrella organization, the SAV has been the voice of Swiss employers in business, politics and the public sphere since 1908.
