Only quality assurance makes efficiency measurable

In 2016, Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance celebrates its 30th birthday. Behind this is a 30-year history of the development of quality assurance. Above all, however, 30 years of Control also stand for the insight that quality assurance in production companies is not an annoying and expensive evil, but today represents a cross-sectional function influencing the added value in production companies of all sectors and sizes. The trade fair will take place from 26 to 29 April in Stuttgart.

When trade fair promoter Paul E. Schall embarked on the venture of organising a trade fair specifically oriented towards the complex subject of quality assurance in 1987, "QA" was often still afflicted with the label "wallflower" and dismissed as a marginal topic. But with the increasing demands of customers as well as growing competitive pressure from all over the world, quality assurance came to play an expanded or completely new role, which found an integrated information, communication and business platform in the event form for practical presentation and procurement Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance.

Quickly find the way to the practice
Today, Control functions on the one hand as a globally recognised industry event with globally accepted leading trade fair character. On the other hand, Control stands as a technology and trend barometer for "state of the art" quality assurance and sets the pace when it comes to the presentation of world firsts and pioneering innovations. In addition, with almost 1000 exhibitors from 32 nations, Control represents the world's range of technologies, components, assemblies, subsystems and complete solutions in hardware and software.

More variant diversity, lower quantities, economical(!) production in batch sizes from 1 and high deadline pressure for JIT delivery - the challenges for production and thus integrated quality assurance could not be greater and more complex. Control meets these challenges on an annual basis and ensures that new developments, optimised products and systems and promising innovations find their way into industrial practice in a timely manner. Because only then and only there are they quickly of use and help to increase a company's competitiveness.

Not only Industry 4.0
The same applies to the implementation of new production philosophies and structures such as Industry 4.0. Quality assurance has long since ceased to be merely a companion here, but rather a driver, because processes are (re)controlled primarily on the basis of real QS data in order to be able to manufacture efficiently and thus economically in all process steps. From technologies and processes to complete systems and fast data exchange, Control demonstrates detailed and system solution expertise and is thus an essential element of current and future Industry 4.0 structures.

Conventional mechatronic measuring devices or 3-D measuring technology, micro- and endoscopy or image processing and vision systems, manual handling of test specimens/individual parts or robot-supported series testing - Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance alone shows all the relevant ways and means worldwide to ensure the rational and economical production and assembly of quality products of all kinds.

Exhibitor news
