Strong topic image processing
The 34th Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance - will take place in Stuttgart from 5 to 8 May 2020 and will focus on vision technology and machine vision as a thematic extension of QR systems and software in Hall 8.
Control, which claims to be the most important international business platform and the world's leading trade fair for industrial QA, brings the international market leaders to Stuttgart. It has long since become a driving force for the German, European and international market. In 2020, the European Machine Vision Association EMVA, together with the trade journal inVISION and trade fair promoter Schall, will be staging the Control Vision Talks - Forum for Optical Measurement Technology and Machine Vision - for the fifth time.
Industrial image processing strongly represented
The topics of 3D image processing, optical metrology, computed tomography (CT) and X-ray as well as spectral imaging will be given a prominent place at the EMVA lecture forum in Hall 8 and will cover both fundamentals and new technologies. Also presented in Hall 8 will be Quick Response (QR) systems, which are widely used and still being developed, particularly in Asia.
"Next level quality assurance!"
The topic of quality assurance permeates all areas of production in all industries. The Control organizer is keeping up with the pace of change and quality improvement and is taking it to the next level with a cutting-edge range of products and services that offers users new approaches and comprehensive real solutions for all problems relevant to industrial QA: "Next level quality assurance!" Users from all industries will find suitable equipment for zero-defect production at Control - from mechatronic measurement technology and machine vision solutions to robot-supported and end-to-end digitalized QA solutions for the flexible production of variants. The trade fair brings digitalization into everyday practice and enables testing technology users to exchange data in networked processes.
Control 2020: high internationality
The event concept of Control supports the direct professional exchange between suppliers and users and ensures the technology transfer deep into the practical everyday production. Attendee comments at the trade fair in May 2019 underscored the importance of Control as a globally recognized and leading technology, communication and business platform for all aspects of quality in industrial production. This is where the international market leaders meet to discuss zero-defect production and develop new solutions with knowledgeable and interested visitors from industry practice. 90 percent of the trade visitors are directly involved in procurement decisions. For many exhibiting companies, Control is the most important trade fair of the year - an industry event that has become increasingly international with 33 percent of exhibitors coming from abroad.
Technology transfer through top-class supporting programme The trade fair organiser is once again spicing up the trade fair with top-class supporting events. The Fraunhofer IPA's special show will focus on "Trends in quality assurance - digitalization, automation and AI in practice". Visitors to the trade fair will have the opportunity to find out about future-oriented technologies and possible applications of modern measuring and testing technology. Demonstrators will give an impression of how topics of digitalization and automation, among others, with image and signal processing and methods of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning, can be used in practice. In addition, visitors to the trade fair can identify and evaluate AI applications in their own problem.
Special shows, forum and special exhibition guide
The special show "Non-Contact Measuring Technology" of the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance will be held for the 16th time and will present the latest developments and technologies in the field of non-contact measuring and testing technology. A special exhibition guide IBV and vision systems will be available again. Last but not least, the exhibitor forum as a communication platform will again be a highlight.
