Trade fair ArbeitsSicherheit Schweiz postponed
Worldwide, the Corona pandemic is having a massive impact on all events planned for the coming months. The organisers of the trade fairs ArbeitsSicherheit Schweiz and Swiss Corporate Fashion are postponing the attendance dates to the period from 10 to 12 November 2020. In order to bridge the period constructively, the project team is offering an online conference at short notice. This virtual partial edition of the two events will take place from 23 to 25 June.
As is well known, on 16 April 2020 the Federal Council communicated its strategy for the gradual lifting of measures against the spread of the Corona pandemic. However, there is still no relief in sight for the organisers of major events. This means that trade fairs and similar events will not be permitted in May either. The organiser of the trade fairs ArbeitsSicherheit Schweiz and Swiss Corporate Fashion, boerding exposition SA, has therefore decided to postpone the event following intensive consultations with the relevant authorities and cooperation partners. In addition to the new date, it is offering additional online formats. In this way, boerding is ensuring that the occupational safety industry and corporate fashion managers can exchange ideas and provide valuable input.
Trade shows to be rescheduled for Nov. 10-12, 2020
''Due to the biennial rotation of the two trade fairs, the entire project team has already been working on the preparations with all its might and enthusiasm since spring 2018. We are in very close consultation with our partners and exhibitors and always come to the same conclusion: the trade fairs will take place - as soon as circumstances permit'', summarises project manager Kirsten Maul from organiser boerding exposition SA. The new date has been set for the period from 10 to 12 November 2020, as close to the end of the year as possible to prevent any further postponement. The long-standing good cooperation with those responsible for the Bern Expo venue can also be continued for the alternative date. All bookings and tickets will thus remain valid. Kirsten Maul reveals: ''We will make good use of the time to the new date in order to promote the topic of industrial hygiene together with our partners and exhibitors. This topic will accompany the entire industry in the future, so this step is a logical consequence to upgrade our trade fairs." Thomas Eiche, certified occupational hygienist and scheduled expert speaker at the show, adds, "A pandemic plan in the filing cabinet will no longer suffice." Building on current experience and knowledge, companies need to look for new ways to approach pandemic preparedness, he says. "For example, many companies are currently finding that all the key positions to important areas are working together in the open plan office and are down at the same time," he suggests.
Dates for new event format Online Conferences fixed
To bridge the gap until the attendance date, online conferences will be held for the first time from 23 to 25 June. The organizer, boerding, has had great success with this virtual format in the recent past, according to reports. In 30-minute webinars, experts in occupational safety and corporate clothing will impart their know-how, after which they will answer questions from participants on their specialist topic. ''We promise all partners, speakers, exhibitors and visitors a clear communication of the next steps. We are further motivated and certain that the importance of our trade fair themes will play an even greater role in the future. We are prepared for this,'' says project manager Maul.
Further information will be announced by the organizer shortly.
